I have a problem, you can hopefully help me with. I started to GM a MoT-Game in the NCIS-Verse and things were going great. Sometime during this I stumbled across a help meachnic mentioned somewhere the teen Seasons of HJRPG Podcast. It was a narrative solution, which went something like:
"Do you remember that one time, when..."
where the to be helped character can choose between three resolutions. Each of them has a narrative impact (as is possibly having an effect on the characters backstory) and if chosen "correctly" also a mechanical regarding the help. We worked this into the MoT-Rules and my players and I loved it.
Problem: Our game had quite a hiatus. We now picked it back up. But I can't find my notes on this, I can't find the episode this Idea was read from an email and we all can't extract it from our brains. At least not to our satisfaction...
We all would be most happy, should any of you guys and gals be able to tell us, how this meachnic works.
