Yes, five of the titles in that bundle were in the "Your Best Game Ever" Kickstarter. I'm not really worried about the GM Notebook, Player Notebook, or character sheets. But the revised Cypher System Rulebook and The Stars are Fire are two of the big titles to come from that. Those two, along with Stay Alive, have been delivered. Two more are still coming.
I get that stuff goes on sale, charity bundles happen, stuff like that. Business is business. It just feels wrong with the actual project those come from still being produced/delivered and those titles are available for quite a bit less than I chipped in. It really makes me not want to back any of their future stuff. Why basically pay retail for a pre-order, when waiting a couple of months will get me the same thing for a huge discount?
I really don't think it's the same as backing a smaller creator, like Decuma or somebody doing the zine-quest thing. Those may not get made if you choose not to get involved. MCG will never miss me, but it doesn't seem like they value me that much either.
