I recorded a gaming session using one of my not-current cell phones, as was suggested on one of the episodes.
The recording has static when people speak, and it's quiet when no one speaks. It's not impossible to listen to, but it's a chore. I'm gaming in another language to improve my skills in that language, so I need and want to listen to the sessions many times.
I've read that with Audacity, one can reduce static by sampling the noise profile and then screening it out. My problem is that I don't have a static-only sample, because the static only occurs as people speak.
Does anyone have experience with or suggestions for handling such a problem?
