One of the players in my upcoming game was talking about getting a tank, inspired by a meme about taking out a lone and buying a tank “how are they gonna get their money back? I got a tank!”
he’s accustomed to high level DnD style games. I’m not an antagonistic GM, but when a player brings their own demise to the table, who am I to say no?
Thanks to Nate Twehews on the RM Facebook group for this one:
“Okay, let's figure this out. "Military transport" is in the book. Fuel 5/Upkeep 5. Armored makes Fuel +1, so Fuel 6.Off-road makes it Fuel +1, so Fuel 7. Give it Alt Fuel to be nice and bring Fuel back down to 6. That gives you an armored vehicle that can over pretty much any terrain in the Loss.
But that's not a tank because it doesn't have a gun. Put a Heavy Rifle on it and that's another 5 Upkeep + 2 for Extended Mag and AP. A machine gun is another 4 Upkeep, +3 for the upgrades. That is the most heavily armed vehicle I can imagine, unless you cobble together a grenade launcher.
36 Bounty to buy it, 60 Bounty to fuel it up. 14 Bounty for upkeep.”
Mind you, 60 bounty in game is enough to retire.
