AndreasDavour yes they have tweaked the skills quite a bit. Also giving users some default skills to start at a d4. (persuasion, common knowledge, stealth, notice, athletics) the idea is that the average person has at least rudimentary knowledge of these skills ( although there are hindrances that change that, like "can't swim"
They have also bundled some skills together ( see athletics, thievery ), and they have shored up knowledge: * skills to a definitive list in core, and setting books can basically add specialized skills if required. So instead of Kn: occult, it is just "occult" "battle" ect
Not sure if it really clears up the mix of broad vs specific, but I think it gets closer. ( gambling is still in there...) 32 skills now..
